Understanding God vs Understanding People

I'm going to put this out here because it came to me today, and I need to put it somewhere.  It occurred to me that I understand God and what He has to say a whole lot better than my fellow human beings.  What is odd about this is that I see and talk with people every day, and though I talk with God every day too, and see what he does, to my knowledge I've never heard him speak to me out loud.  I would think this would make it much harder to understand Him, but not to me.  I have a terrible time understanding what people actually mean when they are saying something, or what they really want.  Don't get me wrong, I don't think everyone is running around being sneaky and covert.  It just seems that so many people make things much more complicated than is necessary, and I don't understand why.   I would venture to say that I'm most likely no different.  I know there are times when I don't say everything I'm feeling or I say more than I'd like.  For the most part though, with me, what you hear and see is what you get.  I try to keep it simple, and I'm not the only one.  There are people out there that put me to shame when it comes to being uncomplicated.  Now, I have actually experienced people try to make me more complicated than I am, mainly because they don't think anyone can be this open and transparent.  So the only way for them to think they understand me is to add layers of mental fabric onto me, so there is a resemblence of complicated normalsy in their minds.
I happen to think this is a downright rediculous!
